We use program KAR2PS for the most optimal transformation in binary form, digital documents that they have
bad scanned. For this transformation, the ALLT technique can be used or an improved version of this.
To start an application, we must open a picture with choice File>Open from
the main menu, or using the button
.
Using the button
the picture is saved in the memory and are activated the program tool buttons.
Now we can process the picture as follows:
(1) using manual regulation of parameters
(2) using predetermined parameters
(3) using predetermined parameters and document post-processing.
Select Clear Image Tools>Log/Lev Method from the main menu or press
button
to go to the set-up menu:

Referring to this menu we can define:
1- the automatic determination of SW (stroke width),
2- the automatic selection of the local threshold values,
3- the free mode and and the proper value for parameter A (the default value is Α=10),
4- the image sub-windows split level,
5- the smoothing mean filter,
6- define which post-processing technique will be used,
7- define if the content of the foreground pixels must be substituted from the original image.
8- if multi SW will be used,
9- start the processing,

Using this method to process images with ALLT technique, we don't need to setup all parameters.
With this the way we can process pictures with predetermined parameters.
From the menu Clear Image Tools> Change fixed values a window is appeared where, as in the previous steps. we similarly pre-define the parameters of the program.
From the menu Clear Image Tools > Full Adaptive Log/Lev Method we execute the algorithm
This is a method with pre-defined parameters, with the difference that in the end are executed all the methods of document filtering.
From the menu Clear Image Tools > Change fixed values, a window is presented where we similarly predefine the parameters of implementation.
From the menu Clear Image Tools > Full Auto Adaptive Log/Lev Method we execute the algorithm.
